Overall Uplift Peak tries their best to give their scholars the greatest education possible. They also try and make sure that the students feel safe and comfortable when they are in campus. Uplift Peak also has many events throughout the school year and many opportunities for community service hours. The teachers there are also very friendly and care about what the student is going through. In fact, some teachers even go out of their way to ask you what's wrong and try to comfort you and give you advice. Lastly, if the student is not able to attended tutoring due to certain issues the teachers even offer the student to see what is the best day they can attend it. Overall I have had a great experience with Uplift Peak because I made great memories over the years. They really have made my high school years/memories memorable.
My high school experience was far from a typical one when I went to Uplift Peak in the ninth grade. It was an entirely different experience and new environment for me. I only knew about two people that were already there and I felt like I stood out for the wrong reasons. Uplift Peak is located in a Latino dominated East Dallas. I am Afro Latino so I had to adapt to being one of the few black kids not only in class but in the entire school. However, the environment was very embracing from the students and the teachers who truly cared about our futures and nurtured our skills and talents as scholars. The teachers worked to really help us be the best versions of ourselves as future college students and as people in general preparing for the real world. My experience at Peak Prep was great.
During elementary and middle school years I went to a DISD school, but when I was about to start high school I decided I wanted to go to another school that was better. I decided to apply for the Uplift Schools and ended up getting accepted, I was very excited for this new journey with new friends and classmates. The teachers and students are very caring, respectful and never let you down. Throughout these four years I've had some of the best experiences, and I cannot imagine my life if I would have gone to another school.
