Hampton is a school with big dreams. Given the fact that it's a public charter, it's smaller and doesn't get the funding that a public school would get and this can actually lead to some lost opportunities. However, this lets the student innovate. I want to pursue law and so I had always wanted to join a MockTrial team in High school; unfortunately Hampton didn't have 1. That is until a couple of friends and I decides to change that during our Freshman year and we've competed 3 times in the Texas Mock Trial competition, garnering recognition and even earning ourselves a lawyer to coach us as she was impressed by our performance. Not to mention Hampton has a spectacular Road to College program! Hampton is a place of innovation and opportunity much like I imagine college to be.
I just graduated from Hampton HighSchool, May 2020. I have been attending Hampton since 6th grade. I really love how it was a small school Because I felt like I received more helped from my teachers and peers from it not being so crowded. Uplift Hampton academics are the best I’ve seen. My teachers did an excellent job at helping me even more if I didn’t understand something, and that pushed me to get better grades because I was more determined. I wished there was a better diversity rate, but it was average. I’ve always felt safe going to school. Just how the school is and my teachers made it a safe environment. The activities and sport are what bring us together even more. I love my alma mater, and wouldn’t change it.
The school was very good and benefited me for the future. however, there were some things I did not like about Hampton
PROS
the teachers were very respectful to me probably because I did almost everything they tell me to do. some teachers were very nice to me
the school gives me college-level work and it helped me in college
the environment is safe as long as your quiet and not involved with drama.
CONS
there were few foods I liked in Hampton but I did not like most of them for their empty tastes and sometimes bad texture
The bathrooms are never clean and never has toilet paper
