University Schools is an overall very welcoming and has a determined environment. Like all schools, there can be some improvements. Communication is always key and students are always provided with guidance from all faculty members! My time spent here was very pleasing and educational. I learned more about myself as a student and as a person! Most, if not all teachers, where ready to work with you and put you on the right path for your life. Whether they knew you or not. Being one of the smaller schools (in terms of graduating class members), the community was very tight-knit. There was more of a "family" aspect to it all. Like we were more than just peers. Everyone had some sort of connection. University Schools just had a different environment than that of other schools. And that is what made it so easy to adapt to and enjoy!

I just graduated from this schools a few years ago. I really liked the cheerful atmosphere of this school, and all the opportunities that this schools offers their students. The one thing that I disliked was that in high school in order to graduate one had to complete a senior project, taking time away from focusing on college applications and scholarships. Though I appreciate that this project taught me how to write a thesis paper, since I had to write one in college. Overall, I really did enjoy going to this school!
University Schools is a great school for students who enjoy being part of a community. Since University is a K-12 school and class sizes are smaller than average school students are able to create relationships with people that last a life time. University has a real sense of family and I am very fortunate to be able to attend a school that allows an environment where I feel welcome. University offers a variety of learning experiences that prepare students for the next steps in their lives. For example, in order to graduate University Schools a number of requirements have to be met including; fifty hours of community service, job shadows, and internships. They use these requirement to prepare students for the rest of their lives. University also requires a senior project in which a student picks a project that develops their learning curve further. Students pick topics from blood drives to earning their private pilots licence. I am very fortunate to have these opportunities.
