University School of Nashville is currently ranked as one of the best high schools in the state for a reason, though there are certainly areas of improvement that could be made. Academics have been incredible for all 13 years, and the teachers as a whole have also been amazing. The school also has great facilities on campus as well as the River Campus, which is home to many of the athletic programs. Really, the only areas of improvement I could see are perhaps investment into upgrades in the River Campus, movement towards requirements in computer proficiency or programming, and the slight disconnect between administration and the High School student body.

The teachers are amazing and excellent at making sure you understand the material. USN takes pride in its accepting nature and diversity, generally, all members of faculty and students are very open-minded. It is evident that there is favoritism between members of the administration and students who are very similar... to them. USN teaches us from Kindergarten to stand up for our beliefs but when a student makes it known that he or she rejects a certain rule or social norm at the school the administration FLIPS. The only time where a students opinion or idea to change something will be accepted or even considered to be valid by the administration is if it already aligns with the administrators' previously determined beliefs. They preach being open-minded yet they directly disregard this in their own lives.
USN has really molded our daughters for to move in a direction that will help them succeed after high school. Whether it is college or just living life, I feel that students are well prepared to be compassionate leaders in this world.
Each stage of the children’s development is well thought out. Lower school gives the students, the opportunity to become independent while learning in an environment that still allows them to enjoy their childhood. From Nature to music, it’s there. By middle school, the students are being prepared for high school. The study habits start to develop and the students start exploring their passions from sports to acting. By high school, students are starting to form their paths from activism clubs to tutoring at local public schools, the students are not only getting the best education but they are learning to live their community.
