USJ is a very family oriented school. Teachers and administrators are very nice and always there to help you. USJ continues to improve or better the campus, curriculum, and opportunities for students and faculty. They provide a safe environment to learn. I have attended this school since I was 4 years old and it’s like home to me. My mother teaches there, too. USJ is a big part of our lives and I am thankful for all of the opportunities it has provided me to move on to the next phase of my education. I am confident in my future because of this wonderful school.
We are the parents of three USJ alums who could not be more satisfied with all of their years there. Did we have ups and downs? Of course? Did we lose our minds over it? We did not.
The teachers and admin are outstanding. The students can excel in many areas and have abundant outside opportunities to further their studies or special interests.
Parents are encouraged to engage and volunteer, and our best friendships were made with other parents whose children attended. USJ is a wonderful value for the education received as you will discover when your child attends college classes in Spanish, Mathematics, and English.

This school's academics is great. However, I do believe their to be a gap between honors and regular classes. That being said, if you are considering attending, I would recommend trying to take the harder classes. Also, the student to faculty ratio provides students with a good learning environment. USJ also provides students with many opportunities that will help your child succeed and go to a good university. The amount of school spirit is really unbelievable. However, the social scene does lack if you don't "fit." Being a POC, I generally found it hard to fit in due to being different from others. Taking that in consideration, if diversity and "fitting" in is at the top of your list, I would not wholeheartedly recommend this school to you. The sports programs and facilities are nice, but how well they perform depends on the year. Also, the admissions office is very nice and care for your students. Thus, if your children wants to get into a nice school, they will fight for them.
