From University School

University School is a place where each boy is inspired and empowered to let his true self thrive. With the freedom to explore, create, compete and play, boys of all dispositions build on their personal strengths, harness their natural talents and blaze their own paths to excellence with joy, confidence and integrity.

Students love learning concepts via themes and engage in hands- on projects to demonstrate systems thinking. Integrated and experiential, this approach successfully prepares them for an ever-changing world that requires creative problem solving, an action- orientation, articulate explanation, and the ability to anticipate the broader societal impact.

Our faculty and staff inspire and mentor our students with integrity and compassion. Boys develop both empathy and respect for others, and appreciation of self. Together, we build an inclusive community with an evolved understanding of what it means to be a man in the 21st century.

US has grown in the last decade to maintain its place as a national leader on the education scene. The school has assembled a phenomenal faculty. Students are challenged and then provided the support they need to succeed. Alumni say that they are better prepared than their peers for college and then go on to become leaders in whatever field they choose. I looked into where they go after US and learned discovered they hold leadership positions at Fitbit, Fidelity, Harvard, Stamford, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland As, New England Patriots, Key Bank, Heinen's, Estee Lauder, Yellowstone Park, and in schools in Cleveland and around the country. My son is a lifer. The only regret I hear from fellow parents is that they wish they started earlier. The new leadership team is first rate.

They have worked closely with my son to ensure he is challenged! Lessons are developmentally appropriate, but they are always pushing his limits. I have been extremely please with his progress each year!
Having graduated just over a year ago, I am still quite familiar with the makeup of faculty and staff and can say with confidence that US is like no other place. It is incredible, to say the very least. The opportunities and resources available to students are limitless and if your desire is to excel, then you will have nothing holding you back at US. The new leadership is fantastic and will undoubtedly lead the school to even better places, as hard as that is to believe that it could be better!! If I could give 10 stars, I would.
