UPHS is a wonderful school! Its staff and faculty are there to help whenever it's needed. The school has an after school program until 5pm where a teacher stays with students who need extra help with their studies and homework, there is also student aides that also stay to help. Because this school is on COS campus there is not a cafeteria, but there is a COS snack bar and microwaves available to the students, the school also has a Food Pantry where parents can donate frozen meals and snacks for the students. I love the fact that my children are able to enroll at COS at the same time and earn college credits. Overall I'm very happy my children are at this school, I know they are safe and they are in an environment where they will learn and prepare them for the future.

University Preparatory is a school which focuses on academic achievement while maintaining a social life, which is not something every high school emphasizes. Everyone is very supportive of each other, and students always keep an open mind when comparing ideas. However, I would like the addition of a cafeteria, because we currently do not have affordable meal options. Overall, it was an incredible experience. I was able to succeed with the help of all of the teachers who put time into helping me learn. I have even been given the opportunity to graduate with a degree in mathematics. Overall, it was an incredible experience.
The school itself lacks sports, but makes up for it by allowing students to enroll in college classes in addition to allowing "block free periods" for students to implement college class times into their daily schedules. This school was good in that college classes were readily available and could easily be taken with the help of the administrators. However, a lack of consistent high school teachers was also a factor. It seemed as if new teachers were coming every year as already grounded teachers seemed to leave. All in all, the school was average with the exception of the ability to take college classes for units, which allowed high school graduates to enter college as "transfer students" with college units already applicable to their college gpa.
