My school is not like most schools, but I am not ashamed to say that at all. University Park Campus School holds 7th-12th grade. Upon hearing that you may think that our school must be huge to fit all these students, but my graduating class will be around 40 students. This is the same for practically all of our grades. My small school isn’t what I had envisioned for my highschool career, but I am so thankful to have gone to this school. University Park’s size breeds a beautiful community that not all schools have. I have such a great relationship with my classmates and my teachers because we feel like such a family. It is with this one on one relationship with the faculty that has made my highschool career so successful. University Park is a school filled with diversity and wants every student to succeed. Here, we only offer honors, ap, and dual enrollment classes at our partnering colleges, challenging every student. Even with these challenges my school fully supports everyone.
The University Park Campus School is in my opinion, the best for education in Worcester. The students and the staff members have a wonderful and beneficial relationship with each other- one that is certainly unique to UPCS only. The only problem with the school is the actual building itself. The school is very underfunded (despite various efforts to convince the school committee in giving us funding). I feel like the UPCS community and lifestyle is one that every student should experience.
It is a great school! small community that supports each other. Honestly, a lack of resources but the faculty make it work, resulting in an amazing education that I received.
