Universty High School was an amazing high school experience! U-High offers a wide variety of classes, activities, and clubs. For example, I am currently involved with Orchesis (a dance class and a extracurricular), Art Club, and Creative Writing Club. U-High is a great opportunity for college readiness because of the academic level of classes, the freedom of open campus, and much more. The U-High community also has showed me how important it is to help others around you. The staff is constantly taught how to act in many different scenarios that could occur in a school building (school shooter, heart attacks, etc.). Even though nothing dangerous has happened before, the U-High community is always ready. I absolutely love U-High and I would recommend it to all students.
Review University High School
University High School is a phenomenal school for those looking to go to college. U-High gives you a lot of freedom and responsibility, as one would get in college. U-High is a lab school affiliated with Illinois State University and therefore is located on the campus. Students are allowed on the campus during the free periods instead of having a study hall. The academics at U-High are also superb. It is one of the highest ranked schools outside of the Chicago area.
I would definitely choose to go to my current school again! Not only is the educational system great, but also the school spirit is fantastic! Having themes for games and cheering on the bleachers are some of the highlights in high school for me because of how much fun games were and cheering on my peers with all of my friends and family at my school.
