To go to school with peers from all over the world (75+ countries!), from different religions, races, ethnicities, cultures, regionds and backgrounds age me a sense of preparedness to be a global citizen and a new outlook on life. It enabled me to broaden my world view and become a more open-minded, accepting and empathetic individual. To have two students, one from Palestine and one from Israel, for example, become the best of friends gave me so much hope for humanity. To have conservatives and liberals have open dialogue and a willingness to learn from each other gave me hope for the US. To have teachers of different backgrounds helped me realize that I have so much to learn. To have roommates from other continents let me experience different cultures. Not to mention the Cultural Day Shows, the field trips and the extracurricular opportunities!

This school changed my perspective on my own abilities to change the world in that I feel I can now do just that; change the world. Despite the bullying issues at the school, it is an inspiring place where academics can be deliberately incorporated into personal endeavors with rewarding results. Opportunities to make these personal endeavors into full-scale, real-world entities through the school's experiential education program are really the most valuable set of experiences offered by UWC-USA. If you want to take a risk to believe you can do something on your own and if you are prepared to work hard, consider applying to this overall great school.
The experience one as a student gets in UWC-USA is indescribable. Academics are this school are hard, but are worth the pain, because students when they graduate are very prepared for university.

UWC-USA has taught me the value of diversity, to respect one another no matter where we come from, and who we are. Also, I believe that one of the most important things I learned was that no matter where you come from, we all can share the same ideas, and ways to see the world. It is only a matter of learning that differences are what makes humans equal.

Moreover, due to the diversity, the perspectives of each individual makes the school unique. Students come to this school because they want to make the world a better place.

One thing I would change about the school would probably be the sports and extracurricular activities and make them more competitive and participate in different tournaments.
