I initially loved my school when I first started. We are located in a small town and everybody knows everybody so it is easy to make friends, as well as enemies. However, I always liked the small size. It wasn't until my 10th-grade year when the new principal took over that everything truly began to go downhill. We were forced to always say that " It is Good to be Union" because it's the new slogan. Also when we, the students, have tried to jazz up our spirit weeks at school such as doing a dress like your date day the week before Homecoming, anybody who participated was given an instant detention! The teachers don't care about your well being or personal affairs either, half the time they bully you and comment that you look like crap if you have had a long night or are sick. So yeah, "It is Good to be Union"!

Union has definitely exposed me to my opportunities in this world. They have exposed me to many programs to further my education and are always willing to help. They don't have the best reputation in the area but they always try and do their best to help their students with whatever they need. Since we are so small, we don't have much opportunities in the school district itself, but they have pushed me to look outside of my comfort zone to find things to help better my future.
Nothing fancy, but what can you really expect from a rural area. Could use more variety in classes, especially in the language department, and AP classes would've been nice.
