UCEC is a great school. I make very good grades and that is because the teachers are absolutely fantastic! There is a lot of work and I get stressed out, but it is worth it because I will graduate with my Associates degree. I do not get to have the same high school experience as most teenagers do. Even though that is true, the school is a community filled with great people! The teachers are so encouraging and have been some of the best teachers I have ever had. Taking college courses as a high school student is very challenging because you are learning to balance your high school classes as well as colleges classes. I have learned many techniques to adapt to the differences that are faced as a high school student taking college courses. Overall, this school has been an amazing way to learn how to grow as a student and a person. I’m glad that I have the privilege of going to this school and am I excited for what is to come.
Becoming an early college student is an opportunity that I recommend to any rising high school students. The opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and an associate’s degree should not be overlooked. Students have the opportunity to gain firsthand college experience while working with counselors and advisors. Students also have a strong network of staff to teach, guide, and give advice for future educational and career opportunities. The teachers are also excellent when helping and caring for each individual students. Despite it being an early college, students’ passions and talents are also recognized. I can say from my experience that the Union County Early College nurtures and encourages students’ educational, professional, and personal growth while promoting hard work.
I am a rising senior at this school. I am very fond of UCEC because of the people I have met and the experiences I have had here. The majority of the teachers are involved and love their job, so they are extremely nice and caring. The administration is fun and works their hardest to include everyone. I have met so many different people at this school because of the diversity and inclusion. Although college classes are hard, the teachers try their best to keep us on track and working hard. I did wish that we had more extracurricular activities. Other than that, I am so glad I chose this school and I would make that choice again without hesitation.
