Tyro Community Christian School Reviews

I went here preschool all the way through my senior year. It prepared me well for ministry, it sets a good base for your faith. My biggest criticism of the academic side of things would be poor teaching in science most of high school, and an English teacher who spends more time telling you how hard her class is and yelling at the class for not doing things perfectly than teaching useful skills. The athletics are mediocre now, they only have basketball for the guys and volleyball and basketball for the girls. They also have elementary soccer, but the coaches for the most part are unqualified parents who favor their kids so much they don’t even pretend to try and be fair.
Our school is unique because it is a private christian school that works to involve religious and worldly aspects into lessons. They include religion into all of our classes but they don't push it onto us. They make sure that we know what is going on in the world and how we should act and interpret things. We have a weekly chapel for all students from K-12. We have a thing called Paul and Timothy where we are paired with someone younger (if we are older or vice versa) and we build a bond with them and a friendship so they have Godly role models they know. The school overall is more like a family. We all love one another and it's just an excellent school.
Friendly environment, helping faculty, Christian environment. Mission trips to assist needy people. Great learning environment.
