Tuxedo Park School provides strong academics, encourages students to embrace challenges, and values curiosity and independent thinking. Character education is emphasized and is thoughtfully woven into lessons. Academic work is rigorous and meaningful. This is all done in a nurturing environment among supportive peers and teachers who know their students well. Students gain valuable skills such as time management, collaboration, public speaking, and leadership. Teachers are continuously learning as well, staying current in their fields and teaching with enthusiasm. Coming from a school where our daughter felt bored and unengaged, she thrived at TPS and learned to love school again. We only wish we had made the move sooner!

Descent. I attended TPS for 10 years, and I can confirm the school is not what it once was. Yet of course I will treasure fond memories I have made at this school, whether it be from socializing with my friends in first grade or going to China in ninth grade, it will always be regarded as a happy place in my memories. However, I left when TPS was beginning to dwindle in their performance. I have a sibling who currently attends and she and her friends can confirm the academics are par with public schools now. The good teachers that enlightened me on extraordinary topics have all left. Now you are stuck with mediocre teachers. The current head of school is not doing a proficient job in hiring the best faculty! The population of students attending this school has decreased dramatically! When I left TPS, there were 250 students, now there are only 160! That right there is saying something. Bottom line: academics - good, sports - acceptable, performing arts - great, food - ehh.
As a parent of a current student and recent graduate of TPS, I would like to share my insights about the wonderful experience our family continues to have. at the school. TPS has dedicated teachers and creates an extremely safe and supportive environment for your kids to learn, grow and thrive. My children have become confident leaders who have been encouraged to reach their potential. There is also a special emphasis on character building and the importance of being kind, fair and responsible - attributes I see everyday in my children.

Academics are appropriately challenging and the curriculum is innovative and collaborative. There are also great trips and other activities that support what they are learning in the classroom.

The school has many long standing traditions that the kids love and that have helped create an incredible sense of community. Both students and parents feel like they are part of special family. My whole family has made life long friendships from TPS!
