Attending Tuscaloosa County High School I experienced a lot of good moments. I have become more socially diverse, met new people through the musical department, and have obtained more knowledge that will be helpful in my future. The teachers have did an amazing job helping me understand what I didn't know and help guide me through tough times. Not everything is perfect here as many may think. The fighting and discipline needs a major improvement. That could be a change I would like to see less fighting and discipline records and higher test scores!!
Review Tuscaloosa County High School
My overall experience at Tuscaloosa County High School has been one to remember! I have made some of my greatest memories at this school but have had some pretty bad experiences also. County High is known for their school spirit and that is what I love most about it! I enjoyed being a Majorette in the marching band for three years. I also enjoyed attending pep rallies and going to the football games! Also, homecoming week was what everyone looked forward to and it was also one of my favorite parts of County High. One of the things that makes TCHS unique is it's history. TCHS has been open since the late 1920s and still follows all of the same traditions. It is especially unique for me considering my grandfather attended this school and so did both of my parents. If I could do it all over again, I would still choose to attend Tuscaloosa County High School because overall it is a great school and provides its students a quality education along with a memorable high school experience.
I love Tuscaloosa County High for their chances to take Advanced and AP classes. It really helped students to be prepared more for college classes. Though these classes did help prepare us for college, that was the only college prep that was given. I wish that the counselors would try harder with students to help them with applying to colleges and what they need to do as far as deadlines for scholarships and applications. I feel like if I would not have sought out help from online and other sources, I would not really have known what to do.
