Turner/Bartels K-8 Reviews

We have been here for 6 months and we finished last year at TBK8 and began this year ....we have two 3rd graders and a 4th grader . I am quite pleased with overall communication, safety and the attention to each child. We have had wonderful experience with the teachers at both upper and lower campus, this was a huge change for our children since we came from a much smaller school. The administration and front desk staff seems totally overwhelmed and it is often beyond chaos to even get in and get your child, while safety is their number one focus I often worry that the front desk folks need a break or more training or something. Our children don't go to the office often so that isn't a huge factor for us to stay or go .we look at student population and mindset of the families and the education our children receive overall. We are very active outside of school for academics and athletics as this is not just the schools responsibility.

The kids are very disrespectful. My child came home saying things I have never said before in front of him or even would have thought to said. Many kids in the area are pushers if you know what I mean and often bring paraphernalia into the school.
