While Turkeyfoot is a very non-diverse, single-cultural school; I would not want to go to any other school! We are lacking a bit in the academic area but the teachers try very hard to get us ready for college. Although my school is very small everyone gets involved, the parents, the staff, and the students. Turkeyfoot has many clubs and for the most part each student is involved in at least one. I am not one for sports anyways, but we do not offer many sports. The sport that are offered are: Girls/Boys basketball, Softball, Baseball, Cheer, Rifle, and Cross Country; most sports that we don't have are offered through co-op with other schools. Students will complain about school lunches but there is really nothing wrong with them, they are healthy, it tastes good, and it feeds us. What more could you ask for? Even though our school is not so up today, we are safe, we are learning, and we are a family at Turkeyfoot and I wouldn't want it any other way!

My overall experience at Turkeyfoot Valley has been pretty good. Turkeyfoot Valley is a very small and communal school. As a student, you get a lot of one on one learning. The classes are small which leaves room for more hands on experiences and less distraction. As a communal school lots of school events are fun with a lot of support from the whole community.
Guidance counselor has a tough job she not only oversees the jr/sr high school but also the elementary. she does a great job trying to help as many that want help she also tries to encourage those who need assistance. Office staff are pleasant and helpful. It seems that even though kids are encouraged to report bullying, teachers and adm don't always really want to hear about it. School board are biased they expect their child/grandchild to have preferential treatment, be it academics or sports. School board hires coaches for the sports and they usually hire the ones who benefit their child/grandchild not the one with the experience!
