I moved to Richmond, Virginia my junior year of high school. I remember the first day at Tucker high school. It was like a melting pot compared to my previous high school. There were so many different people, different religions, different skin tones, and I loved it! The school was very family feeling. Everyone knew each other, and every one was open minded. I became close to a few of my teachers, and still keep in contact with them. Besides the horrible rainy days of an outside school, it felt as if I was walking on an actual college campus.

I was very impressed with my experience with the school. I was a member of the ACA program and worked very hard to earn my associate's degree. I was heavily involved with the music department and the drama department and I want to thank them for making my high school career enjoyable! Thanks Mr. Sampson, Mr. Miller, and Mrs. Dyer!
Tucker High School has a place for everyone on campus, it just has to be searched for! Extracurriculars are plentiful and sports are still fun, although the teams are not very good. Some of the teachers are lovely, while others are not the best, and it is always a toss up. The school is extremely diverse, and a student can always hear a different language being spoken in the halls. Three specialty centers are offered here, along with AP classes, offering any caliber of learning a student could want. One can do as well as they want, or as poorly as they want here. The resources are offered most of the time.
