My experience has been a great one so far! As a senior, I’ve been able to make great connections between myself and students, teachers, and other staff over the last 4 years. The curriculum is awesome and is very helpful for continued academic success in each of the students’ future that attend this memorable and healthy school.
Now called Taylor High school. Super crazy being the first graduating class of the school after they merged Truman HS and Kennedy HS into the Truman building. Teachers were great most of the time, but the school board does not support the administrators or the teachers. Students have lost many great educators because of the school board. There is a lack of modern technology and the building is quite worn. Still, a very diverse group of students with encourgaging staff.
Truman has the opportunity to be a great resource for secondary education, but the school board that makes the decisions is really damaging the possibilities. I believe that if the Taylor School Board is replaced with qualified members, then Truman can thrive.
