I was very involved at Truckee High with multiple sports, clubs, and student government. I had an awesome time here! The best way to have a great experience here is to get involved and get to know your teachers and administrators well.
I feel as though Truckee High was a school where I didn’t connect with many teachers, or the principal/vice principal, but I was really able to connect with 1 or 2 teachers. They really helped me become interested in going to college and focusing on my future. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have started a single college application, and Truckee High made it really easy and accessible to get the teachers and classes I need. Even though I didn’t make many connections, I feel as though Truckee High made it really easy and not overly stressful for me to graduate. Especially during my senior year, I was able to take college classes and my local community college due to the fact that I really only had 2 classes in my actual high-school. I also made really good friends at Truckee High, the community was very diverse in certain aspects and I never really felt like I was alone at school.
Very good experience. Like with many other schools, remote learning was hard and I fell behind, but am working hard to get caught back up. Teachers are good. Some are great! Sports are great and clubs are vast for a smaller area.
