Troy High School has been like home for me the past 4 years, but with that came devastating situations. These past years, teen cancer, suicide, and death has all been a familiar topic for the students at THS. In these times, it has been amazing to see teachers and students come together. The administration is amazing at making students feel loved, and they work so hard to make school have a positive environment. That being said, I have had many bad experiences with teachers. I am a hard working student with a very kind hearted attitude. Some teachers take advantage on my happy personality, so I have dealt with sarcasm and negativity from some of the teachers. Although I have not had the best experience with teachers, there are a few teachers who stand out in my mind and work hard everyday to make a dramatic impact in students lives.
Troy High School has been through a lot, good and bad, and I am proud that I am a Trojan.

I liked the diversity of the students. The teachers were all very helpful, along with the counselors. At Troy high school you also have many opportunities to gain college credits while taking classes at the high school rather than going to a college. I would like to see a change in the atmosphere and getting A.C for the school because the heat during the summer can make learning unbearable.
Since I started at Troy High School as a freshman, I have had two different principals. The first principal was great. He engaged with students, held pep-rallies for all sports, and was rather lenient with specific rules such as phones and drinks before the first period classes began. The current principal is not as great when it comes to personality. However, she has opened up the cafeteria menu to a wider variety of foods and we now have a coffee bar which has definitely been a boost for student morale. The faculty is generally very nice and professional, I rarely have an issue with them. The teachers are great, the science and mathematics departments are super dedicated to helping students understand their classes, and the history and language classes are as challenging as they are efficient.
