Troy High School is not your average American public high school. As you probably may have heard, we excel both in academics and athletics, with multiple accolades and recognitions on national levels. The school population has always fostered a safe learning environment -- we are very inclusive, with a special education program and multiple cultural organizations, and bullying seldom takes place. Although the academic courses I took were very rigorous, I have never regretted taking them because they gave me a strong work ethic and allowed me to develop a passion for learning. Go Warriors!

All of the teachers really care about your future and they want to see you succeed! I've really loved being apart of a school that is very welcoming and that cares about your well-being. Also, Troy High School is challenging, but it really prepares you for college. I've also made so many great relationships with my teachers and students.
Coming to Troy, I was faced with a heavy workload. However, as pressuring as the workload was, Troy exposed me to an elite set of students and showed me what real world competition is really like. I can wholeheartedly say that Troy prepares you for the real world and does not sugar coat the challenges one will face. On the other hand, Troy does not assist in getting into prestigious colleges. It is very difficult to maintain a competitive GPA at Troy, and often all energy is put into schoolwork. Colleges tend to favor students who have been able to do an extensive amount of activities outside of school, and Troy's school system does not assist in doing so. If getting into a big name school is your goal, one is better off attending a less competitive high school and standing out among their peers for both academics and extracurriculars.
