Garza is academically focused. It’s not meant for anyone pursuing athletics. Its target audience is primarily Hispanic, low-income, first-year families, but anyone is welcome!

The atmosphere at Garza is family like which is great for students since that is there 2nd home. All of the teachers are amazing and friendly. The staff are there if any student needs to talk. I️ personally wouldn’t change anything, this doesn’t mean Garza is perfect but this isn’t like any other school. The staff know the students; some personally and others not really. Although this school doesn’t have any sports every year there is fried day and throughout the school year there are clubs and gym classes that keep the students active. The students have the chose of playing for there home school. I️ personally recommended everyone to attend this school.
I absolutely love this school. Since it is an early college high school, you will be taking college classes as the plan is to graduate high school with your associates degree. It’s very nice as the high school itself is within a college, so you get to experience a college setting. The teachers are very nice and are there for you. One thing I would like to see changed would perhaps be the size of our high school. It’s pretty small considering we’re inside a college, and there are about 100 students per grade level. Overall, I enjoyed this school and will be sad when I graduate. It gave me a head start on my college education which I’m very thankful for, and gave me endless opportunities.
