Tri-Center High School offers rural small town courses. The student body is small and has a small amount of possible friend groups, which is a good and bad characteristic. The courses are extremely limited. There are extended branches of courses into the agricultural and nursing field. If you are looking for journalism, computer science, STEM, or anything technology related look elsewhere. Tri-Center does not offer a Newspaper or any Journalism courses, though there is a Publications program. There is a STEM course which is mainly independent and is all based on what you can accomplish and find. The best teachers can be found in Comp I and II, along with Algebra II/Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, and Chemistry. Tri-Center is extremely sport/athletic oriented. Overall, Tri-Center is a small town school and not afraid to show it.

The small community and family involvement is great for learning. So many school counselors, administrators, and teachers live in the same community and are vested in relationships between the school and families. The school staff are always working towards growth and improvement among themselves as well as the students.
Majority of the students are white. Few have Hispanic relations and much fewer have African American relations. The community is made up of the same major families(lots of people are some how related to one another). Very few Asian relations. Sexual orientation is personal to the people alone. We do not require people to give out their personal information of sexual attraction. Peer pressure accrues to those in the bigger, more popular, groups. Some small groups get peer pressure from the bigger groups but in the end it's one's own personal decisions. Student involvement is very high even though their are bits of students who skip school more often than others. Acceptance is very hard to the the community and students having long time relations in the area for generations and generations. Outside families/groups are not accepted very easily.
