I went to TDS for 13 years. The basic run down is this:
Elementary School: Excellent. Every teach I had was caring and wonderful. I learned a lot and really felt cared for the entire time I was there.
Middle School: Pretty horrible. They become very restrictive and controlling when it came to the middle school classes. I felt like a second rate student there.
High School: Mixed bag. Arts classes really got me through. Individual teachers are usually awesome, only a few bad teachers overall. However I am wary of the future of the program. They seem to be going in the wrong direction overall by taking away the all 3 sciences at once program as well as introducing the problem based math program. They are attempting to become more like the Daltons or Horace Manns of New York and less like the Saint Anns or Calhouns.
Also, everyone at this school is white. If you want a diverse space, this is not the school for you.

Lower school very nuturing and teaches kids love of reading, and learning.

Middle School head constantly working to improve the experience, and responsive to feedback from students, teachers and parents.
MS focuses on allowing kids to adjust academically and socially from LS to HS; some kids take advantage of this opportunity to grow, and others don't.

Seems like school still figuring out if it is willing to advise out kids who are not committed to their own growth.
Overall I have had a great experience at Trevor. Teachers are extremely supportive of the students and their interests. The peer leadership program is great to help ninth graders transition into high school by pairing them up in groups with about 3-4 upperclassmen. The sports are great and they hire amazing coaches with professional playing backgrounds. The arts are also heavily supported and most students graduate with a surplus of art credits. The clubs program has every club you could dream of, and if you want to create a club it is very easy to do so. The one thing I would change about the school is better communication between students and administration.
