My experience overall was awesome. I met so many longterm friends at Trevor Browne High School and the teachers I had were some of the best. I took mostly AP and honors classes and the teachers for those classes were absolutely exceptional at their job and so much fun. I never thought such difficult curriculum could be made entertaining, but it was!
I like that Trevor Browne is a simple school that doesn't require too much work in order to do well, however, that is also its weakest downside. After spending the summer at ASU and taking Pre-Calculous there, I felt the difference between Trevor and a College. The difference was huge and I was not prepared at all at the beginning of the program. Eventually, I adapted to it, but I feel like Trevor does not prepare you well for College. The education is fine, but the people are now. Most of the kids there do not care about their education, which creates a poor environment. This made me think that I was really smart until I had a reality check in college where I was surrounded by people who were all more talented than I am. Because of all of these reasons, Trevor is a very poor school.
Trevor Browne academically speaking is not that great for the majority of the population, but the students who do try hard in school have immense support from staff and teachers. The clubs and sports offered are really fun, the boys soccer program is 7th in the state, the jrotc teams regularly win at state, the golf team has two of the top 20 in state, basketball does well on both girls and boys programs, and baseball can hold their own against any of their opponents. The choir program is the largest in the state with over 300 students in it. The band program ranks in state competitions too. Leadership programs such as Bruintown are incredibly rewarding to be a part of.
