I am currently a senior at Tom Bean High School and am involved in many different extra curricular activities. Tom Bean offers many extracurricular opportunities such as NHS, FFA, art, theatre, band and all different types of sports. Tom Bean offers football, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, track, baseball and softball. This school has done a well job offering attention to each individual student seeing how small the community and school is. The school offers dual credit programs, which can be transferred to your future college after high school. There are wonderful teachers who have affected my teenage life, however the school also has a few impolite teachers. Each person has their own opinion and views of certain teachers or staff members. In my opinion, though we have a few rude teachers our counselor is known to be the nicest to each student. Overall, I have attended Tom Bean ISD my entire life including elementary and middle school and have enjoyed my experience.
Tom Bean High School has been my home for the past four years. It is not the best of the best, but it is what I know, and it is where I have prospered. I have made the best out of my circumstances, and believe that my future will be be bright. Being such a small school, I have not had the opportunities other students might have had, but I have done my best, and appreciate all that this school and its staff has done for me.
Tom Bean offers a decent academia, but the lack of initiative from the teachers along with a school board that does not handle money in a disciplined manner leaves those who no prior knowledge in the dust.
