The Principal, Mr. Poland, truly cares about his students and supports teachers thus making for a great school environment! Students are respectful and seem to care about school and their future. Big emphasis on sports and nice fields for students to play on!
So many wonderful teachers and people that you will meet. I love that there’s a variety of male and female teachers, it makes finding one you like so easy! I wish there was more diversity tho. I also wish the counselors were better in a sense. They are nice but hard to work with. I also wish we were taught more life skills, books that are more relevant and other things that are more important than some classes. Overall THS was not a great experience for me, between having a couple bad teachers and just overall not enjoying school it was hard. I have many friends who have enjoyed it though. Just don’t expect to see lots of diversity or representation of different cultures here.
Who knows what my review would be if covid did not happen. A new principal began at my school in 2020 and he has been nothing but fantastic. His name is Thomas Poland and he is a principal that is for the students in every way shape and form. He has a lot of school spirit and is pride oriented. He has done a great job running this school over these past years not only as a professional, but has had fun as well. I think the greatest takeaway from this school is the relationships I have developed with the teachers here. To my experience, a lot of these teachers care about their students beyond the grades. They care to know you personally, as an individual, and what happens in your life outside of school.
