My experience when I First started was Great, I met Great teachers that who help students when and if needed, They have programs that are recommended for every student to join and also clubs. Last but not least they have After School Matters for students that have a hard time finishing their homework and also it is fun to join.

Tilden high school is school that is very tight knit! Over all, we have less than 400 students which ensures that the relationships between staff and students are on a more personal level! The class sizes are small which makes it easier for us to get the one on one time with our instructor that we desire. Something that Tilden can definitely improve is preparing the students for the SAT! I feel that a lot of us already face disadvantages when it comes to college and I don't think not being prepared for the test should be one of them!
The uniform policy is arbitrary and the necessity of its existence is questionable. The staff in charge of security is lax at best but unreasonably overbearing towards enforcing the most trivial things that, if left alone, would produce no effect of significance or even detriment. The people of the counseling office and the few teachers that I have had encountered are helpful and prompt with settling problematic matters.
