Coming into high school I was really nervous, but right away many of the staff and even upper classmen made it really easy to get settled in and start my high school, experience. I love how we are a really diverse school so no one feels like a minority. There are also really funny and interactive clubs our school offers such as DECA which I partake in. Other clubs like anime club, Latino club, etc. There is something for everyone at our school.

My experience at Thornton High School has varied wonderfully. I can describe it best as taking a long, adventurous hike up a really steep hill. Going into high school I knew I would end up with a big load of work on my hands nonetheless, I decided to go into the full International Baccalaureate Diploma program. The work load and homework assignments provided by this rigorous program helped me better manage my time and explore my critical thinking skills. The staff was always nice and friendly. They truly cared for our safety and cared to build good relationships with the students that attended the school. The amount of school spirit each class brings completes the school. Student Council team always made sure to keep everyone hype and full of energy. Sports teams, clubs and student led organizations were very engaging and interesting. The DECA program provided through the business and management course beginning junior year is also extremely engaging and fun.
The staff are really caring, friendly and involved. The school spirit is amazing and the many opportunities offered for students is immense. Yes starting off as a freshmen may feel scary due to the size of the school but after a while you will feel comfortable.
