Thornton-Donovan is a smaller international private school that is open to students grade K-12. The student body is under 200 and very tight-knit. There’s a strong sense of community around campus that isn’t present at larger schools. A decent portion of the student body are transfers from countries such as Albania, China and Kenya. From an academic standpoint, T-D is unique because the curriculum thematic, with courses being offered that teach students about the history and heritage of a particular country for that school year.

It is a great school for traveling and academia. However, this school is too small, there are very few sports teams, and tuition is too high. If you are looking for a true high school experience do not go to this school. However, if you are looking for a school to just lay low and get those four years out of the way then this is the school for you. Oh, and make sure you take advantage of every traveling opportunity.
I have attended T-D since 8th grade and loved it ever since. Great academics, low student to teacher ratio, and a beautiful campus. Almost every teacher here is excellent, and they don't mind giving extra help - which can be helpful if you're struggling with a class. However, there could be more clubs, better sports, and more advanced tech, which is why I had to drop a star.

Mr. Fleming, our headmaster, is a genuinely personable guy. He helps you if you need it and if he sees something that others don't. He brings personality to the school, and T-D wouldn't be T-D without him.

From my five years here, I can easily say this is one of the best schools in Westchester. No question.
