Thornton-Donovan is small, quirky school with interesting people of all different ethnic backgrounds and nationalities. The school puts an emphasis an international education and focuses its classes on a different area of the world each year, and has at least major trip to one or more countries in that area. The academics and environment is great, and the teachers are all interesting and laidback. Some may give a lot of work, but it will significantly help with college readiness.

As an Italian teacher who annually visits the school I think TD focuses on the most important skills and competences required by twenty-first century students: global education, critical thinking, emotional & social skills , intercultural issues and experiences. T-D’s global approach and individualized learning help students develop a wider outlook and academic excellence.
Honestly? Not the worst. To continue honesty, many students I know, along with myself, struggle in college because of the little to no preparation I received. Some people that work there are very condescending and downright disrespectful and unaccepting.
