Some of the teachers are OUTSTANDING and do the absolute most to make sure their students are doing well. Other teachers however, typically don’t teach or can’t seem to cut their students some slack. From my experience with a counselor (specifically mine) I could never seem to get what I needed the first day I needed it. Whenever it’s time to register it’s always stressful because of the humidity and how long the lines are. In addition to that, the places that should be the most organized are the least. All 4 years of registering someone would misplace my paper work and it would ultimately lead to me being in the back offices all day, or me having to leave the school because there was no point in coming or waiting. If you asked a question, it would send you in circles because no one would know the answer with absolute certainty. Ultimately when I needed something, it was a scavenger hunt for who could provide. Teachers performed better than the administrators.

The school I attend has potential to become a great school, the students can be outstanding with the right environment around them. However, the students need guidance, there are way too many conflicts within the school between students. Students need more mediation, and less discipline for such actions. Getting to the root of the problem will resolve the issue before it becomes and even enormous issue, inside or outside school.
Thornridge Highschool allowed me to become the person I am today. Through all of the clubs, sports, and school activites, Thornridge showed me that school is more than just a place of learning. Its a place of experience, friendship, even failing sometimes. The lessons I have learned at Thornridge will stick with me for life beyond the classroom.
