It’s a very small school. There are only 19 kids in the high school so we all are together. Everyone knows and looks out for one another and the teachers know all of us on a personal level.
Going to school in Thorne Bay Alaska was exciting. The classes where small enough that a student was able to receive one on one help with school work. No one had to try out for team sports, everyone was able to play. Going from a huge school with up to 30 to 40 students to a small school was the best thing that ever happened to me. My grades improved and I received the help that I needed when I was struggling in classes.
Awesome athletics and coaches are the best!
