Only reason I have fondness for this Jr High is because I had memories here, but other than that, it's pretty bad. My family moved to Florida after living in the Chicago metro (from Cicero area to Aurora) because of money issues. I was relatively fond of my teachers (Especially Mr. Craig) but heard horrible things about the other teachers. However, my family never had money and compared to everyone else, I looked very poor. Got taunted a lot for being lower-working class, while everyone else was upper-middle class. Taking into consideration the memories though, it is not as bad as some made it seem. I wonder if they got the blood stain off the carpet...
Very poorly managed, Fights almost every day, bad food, bullying that most teachers ignore, some terrible teachers. The only good thing is it is very diverse and there are some good teachers rarely.
My experience at Thompson Junior High was terrible. When you walk down their hallways you see bullying, lack of teacher, administration and parent involvement, disrespect and kids who do not care bout school because no one else around them cares either. All of the teacher's kids automatically get into any sport they try out for, no matter the skill level. There are two good things at Thomson, the selections of after school clubs and activities and the gifted programs.
