I really enjoyed attending this school! From countless activities and sports event to clubs and giving back to the community, the school has a multitude of opportunities. As a result of the growing amount of different programs and activities students are provided with, they also have many opportunities to present their leadership qualities. The school's sense of community is also very strong. There are many school events and spirit themed programs that the whole Wootton community takes part in together. Unity of the school is what it makes it feel so welcoming and open to others. If some things had to change in this school it might be adding more programs to help students get used to the heavier workload as they come in to high school. Not knowing how to study or how to plan out when to review for an exam. So if something were to be added to the school's system of teaching and learning, helping students plan out and learn time management would be it.

DO NOT TAKE A LANGUAGE! Unless you are in ASL, you will not learn anything as far as languages go. There is not a single good teacher in the foreign language department, besides the ASL teacher. AP's are much too prominent, and are practically forced down every student's throat. You do not get to schedule your own classes, but must wait until the first day to find out what classes you have and when. Work is often very heavy-handed. If you struggle with time management, you WILL struggle at this school.
Wootton is a mediocre school, it suffers from aged facilities and a high teacher turnover rate. The overall vibe of the school emanates a factory-like, impersonal environment with overcrowded classes and stressed teachers. The hallways are always crowded with rude, depressed students, reluctant to interact with people outside of their inner social groups. The cafeteria food isn't very good, so bring your own lunch. Wootton, like most Montgomery County Public Schools, will prepare you for College, but don't expect a positive learning atmosphere. But rather, expect a bureaucratic, inadequate school filled to the brim with uninspired students and faculty.
