Wootton is one of the most exceptional schools in Montgomery County. They provide many opportunities for students to engage in academics through out-of- school clubs and in school activities. They provide any needed resources that students would need. Our staff does a good job making any pep rally or football game a great time! Teachers make themselves readily available for any student who needs help, our administrators and counselors are nothing but friendly and helpful to everyone. Wootton offers many great programs for students to excel in such as Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) or our Science, Technology, and Research Scholars (STARS) program. We also hold great theater performances year around. Personally, I have never once felt unsafe at Wootton. Our security guards are always walking around during classes and all doors around the school are locked during classes. Wootton is great school overall for any student! Go Patriots!

My experience at Wootton has been an interesting one. I feel like Wootton can become such a better school if we had more active teachers and more programs to help support students of minorities, mental illnesses, etc. We need assemblies to educate our students! I also believe that there should be a better system for welcoming new students. However, I believe the teachers are very reliable and helpful. It would also be nice to have more scheduled meetings with counselors!
I previously attended Wootton from 2011-2016. As an African American student, the academics were good, but then that's where the positives end. The school itself is old, some teachers/counselors don't provide the support you need, and the extra-curricular activities are average at best. The school isn’t very diverse with mostly white people roaming the school and beware of the bullying that goes on behind the scenes. As for people with accommodations, the school does the bare minimum to help kids succeed. My mother had to fight to have some more action to make sure I had a decent time at school. If you do end up coming here, you must fight to get a decent education.
