My family was not familiar with charter schools before going to MacLaren. I have two middle school kids there and could not be more thrilled with the all around education they get. My kids were concerned about the uniforms and single gender classes prior to attending. However, those have turned out to be two of their favorite parts of MacLaren.

All Upper School students receive an incredible curriculum of education, play a stringed instrument, and take Latin. The test scores for the graduating classes are off the charts.

My kids had the option of attending MacLaren for one year and then deciding if they wanted to continue. The overwhelming consensus was that they wanted to stay and thrive and excel at MacLaren.

I've been here since 6th grade. I would not trade it. Unfortunately, we have a very poor and unprepared college counsellor! We study very advanced subjects, but I feel well prepared for them.
Overall, I give Maclaren a five! They are focused on providing an excellent education for all of its students and creating a community of learners. Through my education here, I have become more comfortable sharing my opinions with classmates and have felt a deeper desire to learn about the world. In high school, the seminars have allowed the class to dive into in-depth discussions together and to take ideas from others to formulate my own beliefs. Maclaren has helped develop my boldness as a person and my passion for learning.
