It was my middle school correlated with my district, overall the school system, curriculum, and the staff were motivating and encouraging, more likely than not. I grew so much throughout those four years, and still keep in touch with a few people to this day.

This school is a very good place to go to school. The kids are nice and to add on this school district is very good and the high school is ranked about 50/375 ranked on this site. To add on the grades are probably better.
There are a lot of crappy, crappy kids that apparently get the bulk of the administrative and academic focus, resulting in a school that's more like a prison on lockdown with restrictions. You can't thrive there. You will assimilate, be controlled, disallowed your individuality, and respect will be forced out of you. Everything else is secondary. My first visit to TJ when my kids were new to the school, all I saw were signs EVERYWHERE saying 'NO X', 'NO Y', QUIET AREA, etc. Good grief, so much oppression in a building where kids minds are supposed to soar. That oppression continues to this day, where the current administration's apparently sole focus is PBIS, over everything--everything--else. Deal with the troublemakers and their parents, and stop punishing EVERYONE for their idiocy. The district as a whole needs to figure out how to actually deliver on their promise of every child reaching their full potential, because frankly, most don't and never will. It's a JOKE.
