The best part of my experience with Thibodaux High School was my friends and clubs. I was very connected with a lot of people there during my time. However, a lot of the students there were mean and not disciplined as they should've been. Some of the teachers were mean, and some of them were involved in misconduct with other male students. The lunch ladies were especially mean. They'd scream at us all of the time and embarrass us in front of everyone. Whenever we'd get yelled at, the other students would laugh and make fun of us. Other than that, school was pretty good.
I like some of the teachers at Thibodaux High. There are some teachers, however, that pick and choose favorites and it hurts other students. Teachers who choose favorites get better grades and are graded more leniently on projects / homework etc.
I also believe that there is a tardy bell and it should be longer. It is hard to get from one place of the school to across the entire school in under 4 minutes, especially because most students walk very slowly. Students in the halls walk very slowly on purpose because they do not want to go to class, however, this hurts me, as well as other students because those students who are late to class get written up of being "tardy" when it wasn't their fault to begin with. This really needs to change. I want to bring this matter to administration, but (most of) the administration doesn't care about the students wants or needs.
Other than these flaws in the school, THS is an okay school.

Overall, my experience at Thibodaux High School has been a great one from the teachers to the other students. There are numerous other clubs and activities to get involved with on campus. However, the facilities are starting to show age and safety can be questionable due to fights. With COVID-19 precautions, the school has taken it really well and adapted nicely!
