Good school. Nice learning environment, makes everyone feel welcomed . You become a family once you step foot in the doors. The principal Shelly Powell is great & loves to see the students strive for greatness. Therrell have many opportunities of getting into college the counselors are good and always available to help! Also Therrell provides rigorous learning that will teach you and make you work harder. In other words , Therrell prepares you for college & is also a college-bound school. Attending DM Therrell High School has been an mental, social, and physical roller coaster. I learned the criteria and standards given but I also learned about self discovery and self worth. High School has prepared me to enter the real world and pursue my dreams. Throughout the 4 years of me attending this school, it has gave me a sense of independence and maturity of becoming a young adult. Teachers and Staff are really supportive of me, they respect me, and treat me equal. As a current senior alumni of this school I'm gaining a better sense of time management and perseverance; if you want to accomplish your goals, you have to pursue and push yourself to reach the finish line. We are a uniform school but I feel like it's enforced because it's supposed to teach us discipline and authority; so I totally stand by it. My years in high school been monumental and it produced a lot of growth out of me throughout these 4 years.
