I'll always love The Woodhall School for helping our son recognize his potential and for meeting him right where he was to help him progress in precisely the ways he needed. He had cycled through other schools which weren't capable or interested in helping him, but Matt Woodhall and Vince Vincent (and really everyone at The Woodhall School) embraced him wholly, providing him the grounding and space to grow through some of his issues and setting him up for success beyond that safe space. It's difficult to leave a 9th grader behind at a boarding school, but I knew this was the right place as soon as we met Mr. Woodhall. He's the perfect person to run a school like this, and our family will be forever indebted.
The Woodhall School transformed our son's life and helped him break a cycle of failure. He started just after finishing a wilderness therapy program and left as the valedictorian of his class. We can't say enough about the superlative quality of the teachers and the administration, and the feeling of community and compassion that they foster. Plus he got a great education!
It was a very flexible school, where you had a great relation with the teachers and they knew how to teach you. It has an amazing communications program that I think has prepared me well for college.
