My daughter spent two years in the preschool. She will start kindergarden next school year. Willow has multi-age classrooms with the preschool being 2-5. Kids ages 2-5 are learning how to share and be kind to each other. Many of the children are the only one in the household and need instruction how to socially interact with their peers. Willow has done a fabulous job of providing a socially nurturing environment where my daughter feels safe. Bullying of any kind is not tolerated. Unfortunately, children with unresolvable bullying issues have been invited to leave the school for the safety of the other children. My daughter has thrived academically and socially. She is a well rounded, well adjusted young lady that loves her school.
This is a small school focused on educational hands on learning. There is an art program, but sports are pretty much nonexistent. There is no cafeteria or gym or theater and the playground is minimal. They do their best to facilitate local community events and will inform students of outside activities, but they don't provide any directly.
Communication lacks a little bit. I would prefer more written communication regarding progress. I can make my own assessment by what papers cone home, but I would still like to her about my child's progress from her teachers.
