Enrolling our children at Willow is the best thing that we have ever done for our family. All three of our children, who range from middle school to preschool, adore their teachers and their classmates. They are excited to go school, which is no wonder when every aspect of the curriculum has been intentionally designed to ignite curiosity, creativity, and problem solving skills. I did not truly appreciate how innovative the curriculum is until I watched Beyond Measure! We are also thrilled that school partners with us on our children’s character education. The Virtues Program, which is implemented daily at Morning Gathering, teaches the children about the real world applications of ethical and moral behavior through lessons from teachers and students. It is my favorite part of the day, and I often sit in on the morning gatherings to listen to their discussions!

My children have thrived in this experiential based learning environment.

For ex, my son's 5th grade class studied ancient & surviving hunter-gatherer cultures. They didn't just research & read, but they also recreated the tools used, crafted jewelry & masks, made clay models of huts, etc. that culminated into a museum exhibit where each student stood by a display (that (s)he did not necessarily create) to answer visitor questions. It impressively demonstrated not only knowledge acquired, but also student collaboration.

As parents, we sought "critical thinking skills" and found it with Willow's curriculum inclusion of systems thinking that incorporates various tools to help explore, frame & assess complex ideas or situations. Tools such as mapping, iceberg model, & connection circles are used to help the students think non-linearly & understand the whole and the interconnectedness of its parts.

Willow has been such a great fit for us & makes our 40 min drive worth it!
This school has changed our families lives! The moment we stepped on the campus we fell in love! Outside most of the day learning is how school should be, my kids have never loved school until they started at Willow. They are teaching the love of education, and helping our children figure out who they are. Best decision we made as a family was joining the Willow Community!
