The Waldorf School of San Diego Reviews
Rating 4.36 out of 5 22 reviews
Our family discovered Waldorf when our daughter was in High School - but I wish my kids had the opportunity to start when they were little! It’s not just a school for us but a thriving, inclusive community. We've had an outstanding experience with my high school student- who started high school after attending public schools from Kinder. She’s now getting ready for college and has done very well on the SAT and feels prepared. The teachers are truly invested in developing lifelong learners and give every student personal attention. The students themselves are incredibly confident and inquisitive and very accepting of new students. My child has blossomed under the care of Waldorf. She thought she wasn’t a “math student” but is now loving calculus! Can’t say enough good things!
A few years ago, I had questions about my experience in public high school. I wanted to get more out of my education than memorizing facts to get a good grade on the test. Right around the same time, one of my teachers told me about a school named Waldorf. After hearing that word a few times that month, I searched it up on google. To my delight, I couldn't believe a school like this exists! I told my parents about it right away and nagged them until they signed up for a school tour. One thing leads to the next, and I have grown in so many ways since I joined Waldorf! Not only academically, but as an upright human being getting ready to enter the world. The teachers are intentional in the way each seed of knowledge offered to the students. If there is one word which summarizes my experience, it would be beautiful.
My child spent 13 years at The Waldorf School of San Diego (WSSD) from Early Childhood through to High School graduation. It was an incredible experience for her and she is now a successful, healthy, happy full time college student. Her high grades put her on the Dean's List, she was recently featured on her college's website, she has a couple of small businesses under her belt, has a part time job, and is carrying zero student debt. She has a good group of friends from diverse backgrounds, and is about to proctor the S.A.T. test back at WSSD (how's that for a full circle experience?!). WSSD instilled her with a strong work ethic, ability to problem-solve, an a high emotional IQ. She credits The Waldorf School of San Diego with helping her become the caring human being she is growing into. This is a phenomenal education!
