The Village School is an amazing school with incredible staff and resources for any who choose to enroll! Most kids are from or have parents from an out-of-US country; it is definitely an open, diverse, and accepting school. Constantly new children enroll, so it's never a dull moment. The curriculum is ever-changing but is always beneficial to the students. The preparedness for out of school events and other activities should be slightly more organized than it is, but overall, this is an incredible school.

It's a school like no other thanks to the incredible diversity that one would not expect to find in Texas. The people are extremely interesting due to having lived around the world and many lifelong friends are made here. It's a community and you will find a Viking anywhere you go! It's an extremely expensive school and as the school continues to grow some of the community and the excellent level of teachers seems to go down, but it is still a great school academically.
The school is still beginning to grow, and through my time there, I have enjoyed studying and learning at Village. However, when it came to school-wide events, the high school lacked in overall spirit, making it difficult to enjoy pep rallies and school held sponsored events, although it has seemed to have increased over the past few years. When Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, however, the school really bonded together for members of our community that were affected by the flooding, showing true spirit and a family that the Village School had created.
Village's academics is very strong, and many of the students are taking IB classes, or are in the IB Diploma Program. However, teachers assign a lot of work to students, and lack of overall coordination between the teachers can sometimes cause a high amount of testing in one week that can create a lot of stress. However, the performance of students in the IB Exams shows their preparedness.
