My daughter attends the Village School PreK-4, and I can't express enough gratitude for the amazing support she has received there. When she first started in PK3, she experienced separation anxiety and cried throughout the entire day for the first month. However, the teachers at the Village School were incredibly understanding and patient. They possess a wealth of experience and knowledge in handling anxious children, employing effective techniques that are both technical and systematic. Their approach was instrumental in calming my daughter's anxiety.I am sincerely grateful to all the experienced teachers and staff at the Village School for their exceptional dedication. I wholeheartedly recommend this school, and I have decided to keep my daughter there for the remainder of her school years. It's a five-star recommendation from me!
My children have been at Village from elementary through high school, and we are happy that our kids are thriving academically, mentally, socially, and emotionally at school. Village has the most diverse student population of any school in Houston, and we have enjoyed meeting families who have lived abroad just like us, and the international parent community is very welcoming too. We love the close-knit and small community, and the teachers really get to know your children as students are able to form connections with their teachers. Students are challenged with a rigorous academic program that is very much hands-on with individual and team projects that encourage creativity and innovation. The teachers are passionate about teaching and making a difference, and my children know they have a strong support system and teachers who care about them. My children love Village, and they are happy and thriving in every way possible, and that’s extremely important to me!
As a current Village Viking for several years, I am proud to be a student here at The Village School. I am constantly surrounded by such a wonderful community where my peers and teachers support and guide me to success. The faculty and admissions team has given me plentiful opportunities that allow me to develop my leadership skills and build a strong resume. The courses are challenging, but through the assistance of teachers and their willingness to help those struggling, I have been able to thrive in this rigorous academic environment. Through the guidance of our college counselors who have put endless commitment to their students, I have been given a sufficient amount of resources to flourish during the college admissions process. Village exceeds in ensuring that inclusivity and diversity among the students and their culture are represented. I am beyond grateful to be a student here at Village and cannot wait to begin another school year!
