Emergency management has been a great school for me thank to all the teacher and the principal they all are so nice they included you and your culture a lot and they even let you bring your family to school
My oldest daughter just graduated this past June and my youngest is a Junior the teachers and staff are amazing, the communication between parents and teachers are amazing they are very involved with the students. I wouldn’t change anything about the school and I hope they continue running the same way they are now
It’s a good school. The academics is good, and it’s really fun. The staff are great to be around with. And it’s easy to make friends, everyone is so friendly.
My overall experience in emergency management has honestly been nothing short of amazing. As one of emergency managers covid babies and transitioning into the real experience with the help of Dr.Bility it was a bit of an obstacle to overcome only because we didn’t know what to expect being that our sophomore year in high school was technically our freshman year actually in school but in all honesty it has been great. I’ve overcame so much, i’ve developed for the better and has grown into a beautiful educated young black women that I am now. The one thing that i love about my school is that here at emergency Management your voice is prioritized,HEARD and respected . As a senior i’ve seen and been through it all and I am honestly so happy my younger self choose emergency management because i wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. My time here has been well served i’ve mad change to my amazing school and i hope all the other great students to come after have the same experience i’ve had.
The school is great! There are many Opportunities for your child to grow both academically and socially. The school has a wonderful cpr program and they have collaborated with the city to try and expand the programs to other public schools. The school also hosts many community service opportunities for students. Students are held accountable creating a real life environment where they can strive grow and succeed on thier own. The schools communication process can be improved, in order to contact the school teachers, staff and principal you have to go through the Jupiter app or email rather then being able to call and in times of emergencythis can be stressful. Also they do not allow for short scheduling for students who have completed the required credit instead they will pack the schedule with electives your child will have the option of taking college courses instead of electives.
My overall experience with attending The Urban Assembly School for Emergency Management is that absolutely love all the partnerships and programs they have with others and people. The opportunities that are given to different students in different grades is non stop. The will always be a program when someone will fit in and love it. This school works to much on your future and preparing you for whats next. If your'e stuck they will help, if you need a little push they will help because that's what they are here for.
I love working at UASEM because the kids are the best. I may be biased, but I cannot stress how often they turn my day around. If I am feeling glum, one of my students notices and makes me feel better. I only hope that I do the same for them. We strive for our students to be R.E.A.D.Y. (Resilient, Empathetic, Achievement oriented, Deliberate, and Your own ally.) While our students strive to exemplify these core values, their empathy shines through the brightest.
I am ecstatic about the P-Tech grant and the opportunity it will give our students to graduate, not only with a high school degree, but also with an associates in Para-medIcine. Many of our students are quite ready to take advantage of this program, in addition to our many AP classes and dual enrolled courses.
For years, I have worked with a group of highly dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that our students are successful. Above all else, we care about our students--our kids.

There are many activities in Uasem that I enjoy, such as college trips, barbecues, and open lunches.
I wish our school provided more AP classes so that kids could take use of the wide range of resources available to them for a successful college career and future profession.

Why not start of with the worst parts, The worst parts of my experience is when the Covid 19 wave was just ending and we all had to readjust with going to school and the new schedules and we was limited in resources and opportunities at the time. The best parts now is the opportunities we received to start early in the medical field. With the new Dual Enrollment system and the new EMT course (CED 201) which gives us the opportunity to become a New York Certified EMT at the age of only 18. The journey with Emergency Management was at first rocky but, the one thing I can say is that we ended off strong.
It's an amazing school for the most part. I enjoy the way they run things even though the curriculum can be a little more challenging. The students are very interesting
So far it is easy and the teachers are very nice and the opportunities are great. The work is confusing until it’s explained.
I’d say my experience in uasem is great it isn’t hard to talk to the teachers and they can be very welcoming when I walk in. Also in uasem they can have some good assemblies and make things brighter.
UASEM provides a warm, supportive environment to its students that prepares them for college and the real world. UASEM nurtures both the academic and social components of the whole child. The school allows students the opportunities to take rigorous Regents, AP, and dual enrollment classes as well as participate in various extracurricular activities including sports, performing arts, and STEM. However the school recently adopted the use of Yonder pouches to regulate cellphone usage during the school day and it presents challenges to students who responsibly used them in the past to support their studying and communication to home. I hope to see changes made to the cell phone policy to allow students who thrive academically access to their phones. Overall, UASEM is a great school for competitive NYC students.
My experience was fabulous the communication and the dedication that the staff have for their students have been fabulous very well organized and the respect with the students and their peers by far it is great it’s a it is a wonderful setting. A safe and welcome place where you feel as if you was right at home.
The best experience at my school was during my sophomore year. This was because of the teachers we had back then, not only did they help us with our class work, but they help us with personal situations such as writing resumes for school and etc
Small and friendly staff and teachers like the programs with colleges and I also which parents could be more informed on students progress
My experience is good so far i love it here the way were set up properly i love it here ela teacher is fun
I just recently transferred here but over I can see that the school really tries to work in the best interest of the students.
As a freshman I haven’t gotten much to experience but the little that I have I’ve loved, everyone has been friendly and helpful and that makes me feel safer. I hope I take advantage of all the opportunities that UASEM offers students, for example graduating in the 12th grade and having the option of 2 years of FREE college. I truly don’t think there’s anything I would change because to my liking it is perfect. I’m positive I chose the right school to spend the upcoming 4 years.
The school is diverse and it offers pathways in emergency medicine, in addition to traditional school work.
