This school is remarkable due to its small size, giving it the ability to truly address the needs of each individual student. There are no bureaucratic layers here - issues are addressed immediately and with fairness. There is an excellent culture in the school, which starts at the top. The teachers and administration care a great deal about the success of their students, make accommodations when necessary, yet maintain academic rigor. Very nice environment for learning!

The University School literally took my daughter from a position of having more frustration than success in any academic environment to one of a confident, enthusiastic college-bound senior about to graduate proudly! I cannot say enough about University School! Great staff, teachers who have always supported my daughter's individual learning needs.
The University School is an incredible place where students are given individualized attention in a caring and nurturing environment. Curriculum and schedules are developed for each student, with that child's needs, strengths, and challenges in mind. The faculty exude a love for teaching & learning. The small school environment provides for individualized attention, for children who might have learning challenges or special needs, or for gifted children who may have the ability to move at an accelerated speed. The small classes & focus on individualized curriculum plans means that each student's plan is customized to maximize her/his learning style & needs. The school is also extremely welcoming & inclusive, of children from all backgrounds, neighborhoods, ethnicities, genders, races, religions, members of the LGBTQ communitiy and non-binary students.
