The Tenney School serves the community in an important and unique way. Their one to one learning style is effective for a variety of students. When students are challenged by the overwhelming class sizes and academic pressures of other schools, Tenney helps them attain success socially and prepares them for the priorities demanded at higher scholastic levels. There are no sports available, however there are many different social activities offered to all students. These activities allow participants to effectively socialize and bond together as classmates. Success is one of the main goals at the Tenney School. I'm proud to be a teacher at this school!

One on one learning, casual atmosphere but with rules. Children support one another! Happy to go to school! Burger burns, theme days.... shorter school hours. Was able to attend fun classes like voice and csi. Parent involvement was only needed when requested... drama free. My student came home with a funny/fantastic story EVERY day! Overall greatest experience academically we’ve experienced!!
The one on one classes let the students have one on one individualized learning. Students are able to get questions answered without distractions of other students. Students are also able to move at a fast pace or get extra help on certain subjects. The “regular school” feel is not prevalent at Tenney so maybe adding sports and extracurriculars can help students feel the high school experience.
