From The Steward School

Steward's mission is to prepare students for college and for life in a community defined by robust academics, inspiration, engagement and care. These imperatives tell our story: Fuel the mind. Stir the imagination. Unleash the possibilities. This anthem keeps us on track with an academically challenging curriculum, player-oriented athletics, and extracurricular and service opportunities that allow students to explore. We believe today’s graduates need to have widely varied knowledge, and they should be prepared to apply open-ended talents. With our differentiating focus on research, design and innovation, the Steward experience is designed to prepare students for these opportunities. Variable Tuition, which customizes tuition based on what a family can afford, as well as Merit Grants for Upper School students, make this more accessible than you might think.

Steward has been a great decision on where to go to high school for me! I was in a large public school before I came here. Being in the small, private school environment of Steward, I have been able to thrive. Teachers are extremely helpful and want you to succeed. Students welcome new peers. The facilities are unparalleled, and the sports teams are amazing considering how small we are.

In my opinion, the Steward School has been a wonderful asset in my life. Although there are some things that could definitely be improved, especially communication amongst faculty and administration and students, throughout my time at Steward I have only seen things get better, and I can't wait to see how the school improves in the future! They do an excellent job of preparing students for college especially, and I cannot praise my teachers enough for the support they have given me.
The steward school has an amazing sense of community. In the upper school there are several events throughout the year that students look forward to including spirit weeks because corn hole is available at lunch! Academically, most classes are seminar based which provides hands on learning and discussion. Similarly, teachers are readily available and have a strong willingness to help go over an essay or prepare for a test. The college readiness is spectacular with a college counselor meeting with students in a college seminar class during junior year, students can explore college paths and begin creating lists of top choices.
