    The Speyer Legacy School Reviews

    1 review
My children have blossomed at Speyer. They learn to be citizens of the world, interested in their local and global communities. Speyer's combination of seminar based learning and rigorous quantitative curriculum keep the students challenged and engaged. Debate (an after school club and an academic class) begins in kindergarten and progresses until 8th grade. (Speyer teams won Urban Debate League state championships for the past 2 years in a row!). Sports are available though athletes skip school teams to participate in outside leagues. Many Speyer students are gifted musicians. We have been to see schoolmates perform at Carnegie hall and Lincoln Center. The leadership opportunities available for 8th graders help prepare students for the challenges of high school. Graduating Speyer students have gone on to NYC specialized high schools, top NYC independent Schools and top Boarding Schools.
