The Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Reviews
Rating 4.51 out of 5 49 reviews
My time at Science Leadership Academy at Beeber has been outstanding throughout my four years of high school. Each teacher that I have genuinely cared about my education and my development as a high schooler and upcoming college student. To fit the student's needs, adjustments are made as necessary, which is one of my favorite aspects. My confidence in my learning ability has grown thanks to small class groups and leveled instruction. I honestly love the emphasis that my school has on collaboration because I am able to get an early understanding of professionalism on school grounds. This has benefited me because I am now able to share my thoughts with others around me and connect with them. My networking skills have also flourished while at this school. I am able to find different resources for college readiness with the help of my advisor. I have been able to find scholarship programs, websites, and ways to improve my college essays. My school has brought out the best in me.
SLA Beeber is a unique place that has many positive attributes. The most notable thing about this school is how diverse it is in every aspect. People with different career goals, backgrounds, cultures, likes and dislikes were all among each other and it gave so many opportunities to meet new people and learn more about them. The teachers all have strong passion for teaching and during my time there I learned not just the educational parts but so many important life lessons. I still keep in touch with a few of them and know I can always reach out if I need help or guidance. It was here that I learned that I wanted to pursue engineering in college and I'm glad that the classes I took at SLA somewhat prepared me for what I would encounter in a college setting. The only downside to SLA Beeber is that they didn't offer AP's while I was there which made me a weaker candidate during college admissions, however, I had many other accomplishments to make up for the lack of AP's
Overall,I really liked the school over the four years. I feel I was able to grow as I went through my high school experience. The school does an outstanding job of ensuring you are on track to reach your goals. There is also so much culture at the school, each teacher has something that makes you feel like you belong there and welcome you with open arms. The school also prepares you for college with a heavy workload. As I came into junior year I found myself spending less and less time staying up late doing work as I started to really master my time management. To conclude I feel SLA is a great place to come to highschool if you can, Just bring your own lunch!!
